I didn't think i would...
but I have fallen in love with my vintage boyfriend slouch jeans. I have a tendency to wear skinnies or straight leg jeans and never envisaged myself in such baggy attire. They made their debut at work today and they went down well! These are my bargain £5.60 jeans from Warehouse that I blogged about on Wednesday. I teamed them up with a TIGHT black vest, gold sandals and a thick belt- BOOM! Simple but effective! I believe that because the jeans are so loose/casual you need to emphasise the top part of your body with a fitted top. I’m feeling adventurous and may try and rock them with a nice pair of heels hmmm...
Eddie what have you done for me lately?!?!?
Hmmm Eddie, Eddie, Eddie I don’t know what to say? I really don’t want to write Mr Murphy off as he really made me laugh back in the day, notice I sad back in the day. However this film wasn’t the greatest as he seems to be sticking to the safe formula of family orientated movies quite a bit of late and this film was just not that funny!
“Imagine That” is a film that focuses on the lack of relationship between a workaholic father and his daughter. There is no connection between them as Eddie continues to put his work first–tut tut! The plot was okay and should give parents some food for thought with regards to how much time they make for their children. Other than that the film was nothing to shout about!
The real star of this film is Yari Shahidi who plays the role of the daughter; she is way too cute and acted very well. I’m still holding out on Eddie as his previous outing “Meet Dave” had me howling with laughter so much so I had tears in my eyes. Then again I’m a sucker for foolishness, plus the fact I was depressed to be returning to the UK from NY so I needed a pick me up.
Apparently there is going to be a Beverly Hills Cop IV but I think the character of Alex Foley is finito! He’s too old to play the young cheeky cop with the huh, huh, huh laugh. I don’t get it as I know Eddie can still make me laugh but he keeps missing the mark. What is it bad script writing, is he picking the wrong roles or is his time just up?

I'm feeling all inspired..
Yesterday I attended a brilliant event called "I Am My Brand” and believe me it was a great investment. The person behind it is a young female called Kubi Springer, if you haven't heard of her you better ask somebody!!
She touched on so many different aspects with regards to branding yourself and marketing. I'm not going to divulge all the in’s and out's as it would take up too much time. However she really got me thinking about my dreams and aspirations and how I'm going to achieve them.
After spending 5 weeks in everyone’s favourite city New York, I found their confidence levels surpassed us British folks; it's amazing how far confidence will take you. Americans and some UK folk aren't afraid to blow their own trumpet! So why do we continue to under sell ourselves and settle for the mediocre careers?!?!?
What struck me is that so many of us have dreams/career goals and ambitions but don't take the time to invest in ourselves and know our ish inside out. Why is it that we will splash out on clothes, hi-tech gadgets, shoes (my weakness) and cars to name a few but won’t stump up the same amount of money for a course, seminar or book? Believe me Kubi Springer knows marketing/branding inside out; she is in a league of her own. We want to follow certain career paths, but won't pay for a course that can enrich us. How many of us read the books that will give us the knowledge to take it that one step further. How many of us really know how to market ourselves? Wisdom is power!!!!!!!! Rant over lol.
One of my problems is that I want everything now and that I sometimes undervalue myself. I sometimes let fear control me when fear is just a big lie and you’ll overcome it anyway and procrastination is the key thief of all my time –SIGH!!!!!!! Plus I'm still trying to find my niche in a world where everybody wants to be a presenter, journalist, designer, singer, producer, etc.
I’ll leave with this- continue to dream big, work hard and invest in your self people. It will pay off eventually- YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!

BARGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ladies the jumpsuit is still going strong and I recommend you purchase one now, whilst the sales are still on. I picked up this hot hareem, high waisted jump suit from the Warehouse Outlet, but in black. Black is a classic colour and you can always jazz it up with some hot jewellery, painted nails, clutch bag and the all important statement shoes.
I love Warehouse but they are way too overpriced, for my liking hence the reason I purchased this in the sale. This beauty is silk (womp, womp) and went down from a staggering £85 to £12- come on now! I also got some nice boyfriend vintage jeans for £5.60, go ahead get your shop on lol.

I want this look...
Ever since I cut my hair, I have no fear in chopping it further and this is the style I want next. Although my hair is not as thick as Kelis' so I may have a problem with achieving this look. I refuse to jump back on the hair extension bandwagon, been there done that till the label has worn off.
I loved Kelis' previous look, she was a real style innovator back in the day. I think we can all agree she is the inspiration behind Rhianna's current style. I'm going to see what I can create with my Superdrug/M.A.C make up. Some super strong holding spray, gel and maybe cutting my hair shorter on the left-hand side. I'll keep you posted lol.

CHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Am I the only person on the planet who doesn’t own a Black (Crack) berry?!?!?! What is up with that? They have become so standard that even school kids own them and that’s saying something- geez! After a meeting with the blogger ladies yesterday I felt a little out of place when I noticed everybody’s phone on the table happened to be a blackberry- sigh! I have so had enough of my Nokia ... what ever the number is. This is the wackiest phone ever!!!!
I can honestly say I actually need a Blackberry now as there have been too many occasions when I have missed that all important e-mail. Or the dreaded exchange of contact details (which isn’t a problem for you blackberry owners). Unfortunately for me I have to resort too rummaging for a piece of scrap paper and a pen (how embarrassing).
I have now spoken to T-mobile and they have informed me that my upgrade is due on the 16th of August. I am literally counting down the days...
